About Us

Dr Sean Keren graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2000. He began his professional career in both the private and the public sector, working with special needs patients and the underprivileged.

In 2007 he relocated to Bribie Island with his young family where he joined a small, single dentist practice. In 2008 Dr Keren became the principle dentist at Bongaree Dental which he expanded and rebuilt with state of the art equipment. Today he has two other associate dentists and a hygienist working closely with him providing all aspects of dentistry to the community. His passion for providing the highest standards of patient care is recognized by the fact that his patients travel from South Brisbane and far North Queensland for their dental treatment.

Dr Keren’s interests lie in Advanced Surgical procedures such as dental implants, bone grafting and the removal of impacted wisdom teeth. He is committed to ongoing dental education and is passionately involved in regular surgical training.

Dr Keren is a member of the ADA, Australian Society of Implant Dentistry (ASID) and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI).

Kelly Spargo grew up in Glasshouse Mountains, QLD but has lived locally since 2003. Kelly qualified as a certified surgical dental assistant in 2007 and completed a Diploma in Practice Management in 2014. Kelly is our Practice Manager and Patient Co-ordinator. Kelly can help if you have any queries about appointments or treatments and you will quickly realise, she is passionate about helping patients feel confident in their smile. Kelly helps organise a number of fundraising days that are held annually at Bongaree. Away from dentistry, Kelly loves spending time with her family and most of all her 2 little children. Loves to travel and enjoys spending time in the great outdoors. Every year she supports charities that help children undergoing cancer treatment and Cancer research which is very close to her heart.

Kirby Gartner has only lived locally since 2020 after spending a lot of weekends growing up on Bribie Island with her family and friends. Kirby joined our team late 2020 where she quickly became qualified as a certified Surgical Dental nurse. She is now assisting alongside our principal dentist, Dr Keren, ensuring each patient receives quality care every visit. Kirby feels very passionate about her outstanding patient care and infection control within the practice. Outside of dentistry, Kirby loves to spend time doing adventurous activities and making memories with her close ones.
